As a graduate of the University of Maryland Psychiatric Nurse program and a ANCC Board Certified Practitioner, I see patients across the lifespan ranging from age 4 to the elderly. I have been practicing since 2013 and have worked exclusively in outpatient settings. My experience is in general psychiatry to include the management of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and ADHD. I am culturally competent and sensitive to each and every individual need no matter the religion, sexual preference or race of my client.
I am originally from a small town in Ohio and am also an Army Veteran, having served 4 years active duty stationed out of Ft. Belvoir. This is what brought me to the DMV area which I love. While active duty, I went to NOVA (Northern Virginia Community College) and obtained an Associate’s Degree during the first 2 years of enlistment. Once I completed my time in the service, I went back home to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Wright State University. I returned to the DMV to work in critical care at Virginia Hospital Center before transitioning to Mental Health.
